Traveling Photographer Portfolio
Written by Ether
All of my photography is available to purchase. All donations/purchases go towards continuing my photography in OTHER COUNTRIES! Please specify if you want your the 'stitched 4x6 or 5x7 postcards' (like I sell on the streets) or if you would rather just have the file emailed to you and deal with printing it out yourself. (I don't really believe in 'set' prices... but on the street, 4x6 stitched postcards usually go for $4-20, 5x7 go for $8-20 and $10-35 for large prints). Please email with specifications, name of photo and which folder it is in... This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
I am still working on making this portfolio more user friendly... but here is most of my online portfolio from the past 6 years of hitch hiking and riding freight trains through 43 states and Mexico... ENJOY! (...or else!)

XV. Mardi Gras in Mobile/Fistful of Harmonica

[Mobile, AL]
I got dropped off a block away from Mobile’s only skyscraper and find out where the nearest coffee shop (to use WIFI and contact my friends already in town) and begin walking towards it. I only walk for 45 seconds or so before I round a corner and find the coffee shop, where I see2 familiar travelkidz and a black puppy (Akasia) who eagerly pounces on her buddy. I found my road dogs… the magnetism of the universe brought us together, once again.
We find out about an open Mic at the ‘Blind Mule’ so we head on over to check it out. I play my Kalimba, Kaleb jumped up and jammed out some guitar and I convinced Lauren to go up and sing (which coincidentally helped us out, because afterwards she began singing while we played music on the street). After the bar closes we find ‘the best hobo campsite in all of Mobile’ …a large grassy field, with a 5 foot wall around the edge and some large gnarled trees to lay under. From our campsite we’ve got the perfect view of Mobile’s skyscraper.

[Georgia]
Hitching through Georgia is hard. It always has been ...Probably always will be.
After my verbal warning from the cop to '...Start walking', I get scooped up by a college kid just as the sky opens up and begins to pour onto me. I didn't care which direction he wanted to take me... as long as it was away from that bitter shell of a man with a badge.
